The event aims to achieve deep, rapid, and sustained emission reductions to keep global temperatures below 1.5°C. The conference will focus on enhancing ambition through national plans and transparency, and enabling action via financial tools to reduce emissions, adapt to climate change, and address loss and damage.
Azerbaijan aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2050. The country plans to increase renewable power capacity to 30% by 2030. Azerbaijan commits to wind, hydro, solar energy, and green hydrogen projects. The country updates national targets in alignment with the 1.5°C goal.
