Dear Friends of TUMI,
In this September update, we celebrate ten years of TUMI. On 21 September, we’re gathering partners, policymakers, and practitioners in Berlin for our anniversary conference, “People, Cities and Corridors: Integrating Transport for Sustainable and Resilient Regions”. The following day, InnoTrans opens its doors, and TUMI shows up in three ways: Women Mobilize Women joins the Women in Mobility Luncheon, our Rail Study Tour brings decision-makers from Africa, Latin America, and Central Asia through Berlin’s rail sites, and we host the African European Industry Dialogue on Railways, opening space for African and European rail industry to talk standards, financing, and corridor partnerships.
We also bring updates on how our courses are evolving: From September, all TUMI E-Learning courses move to atingi and become anytime courses, free and open to everyone, starting with our training on Inclusive Mobility. Alongside that, a call for your input on data and AI in transport planning, a fresh look at what “car availability per household” really tells us, and a Hamburg project turning transit stops into habitats for wild bees. Registrations are also open for Transport and Climate Change Week 2026, running fully online from 5-9 October.
Happy reading, and thank you for being part of this movement.
