Dear Friends of TUMI,

In this October update, we celebrate ten years of TUMI. Launched on 16 October 2016 at Habitat III in Quito, TUMI has since helped almost one billion people gain better access to transport. At our anniversary conference “People, Cities and Corridors” in Berlin on 21 September, we also took the next step: TUMI is now the Transport and Urban Mobility Initiative. The acronym stays, the scope grows, with new work on rail, freight and regional transport, a new look and a new website. We look back on a conference that brought together 150 people from more than 30 countries, two study tours along the Frankfurt-Munich corridor and alongside InnoTrans in Berlin, and the Women Mobilize Women celebration of 30 Remarkable Feminist Voices in Business.

We also share how our learning offer is evolving: all six TUMI online courses now live on atingi, self-paced and free for everyone. Alongside that, ten years of TUMI in numbers, birthday wishes from partners across our network, and a short documentary marking ten years of our partner initiative MobiliseYourCity.
