Dear Friends of TUMI,
Ten years ago, TUMI set out with a simple premise: that the way cities move people shapes everything else – opportunity, health, equity, climate. This April update is a small reflection of how much ground that idea has covered.
In this edition, we’re looking ahead to our annual conference in Berlin this September, where we’ll mark a decade of sustainable urban mobility – and ask what the next chapter demands.
We’re also sharing new tools and knowledge for practitioners: a fresh e-bus catalogue designed for policymakers in emerging economies, lessons from a study tour on paratransit electrification in Nairobi, and an upcoming webinar to dig deeper into that work.
On gender inclusion, nominations are still open until 10 April for our Remarkable Feminist Voices in Business series – please do share the call with someone whose work deserves to be seen. And we’ve gathered a set of practical toolkits for gender-responsive transport planning that are worth bookmarking.
As always, this movement is built by the people in it. We hope something in these pages is useful, inspiring, or worth passing on.
Happy reading, and thank you for being part of this movement.
