On March 11th, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. Transport and in particular public transport, is on the one hand a vector for global and local distribution of the virus and on the other hand has yet to meet the community’s demand for travel.

Joe Ma, Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen Bus Group (SZBG) shares with us the company’s efforts to tackle these challenges. From a strategic working group for epidemic prevention and control, to a range of preventive measures, procurement of medical equipment and sanitation materials, communication with staff and the media, as well as the organization of human resource to facilitate frontline efforts to combat the virus.
