This year, the 2023 EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK and MOBILITYACTION award winners will be announced at La Bellone in Brussels (Belgium) on 14 March. The ceremony is accompanied by a series of mobility-themed workshops on 15 March. For the first time, the award ceremony and workshops are open to a broader public, to encourage more towns/cities to register their participation in 2024!

The award ceremony and workshops bring together urban mobility experts and enthusiasts from all over Europe, including local authorities, businesses and civil society organisations, to exchange best practice examples, discuss challenges, and brainstorm on innovative solutions to promote behavioural change in favour of walking, cycling and public transport.

The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK award recognises municipalities that have excelled in promoting sustainable urban mobility during the week of 16 – 22 September. Meanwhile, the MOBILITYACTION award was launched by the European Commission in 2022 to acknowledge excellence in mobility management; the award underscores sustainable urban mobility solutions submitted by NGOs, organisations, businesses, citizen initiatives or municipalities throughout 2023. The annual theme for both awards is ‘Save Energy.’
