International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2023

International Day of Women and Girls in Science is on February 11th. This topic is also highly relevant for the transport sector. There are many different options to choose from if you want to pursue a career in mobility, a lot of these jobs are STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) related. Even though female students show interest in STEM subjects, they are underrepresented in STEM-related education to this day. The women that do end up working in STEM-related jobs are often at a disadvantage because they are not given the same opportunities as men working in the same position.

With Women Mobilize Women, TUMI advocates for empowering women in the transport sector, e.g. through highlighting champions and training future urban leaders to use up the potential of women as workers, planners and decision-makers for higher economic participation of women.
