La Paz, Bolivia: Modernizing public transport through innovative and well designed solutions

This is a project case story within the framework of the TUMI Challenge 2018. Until recently, La Paz was known for its diesel-powered and chaotic public transport. Thanks to public investments, the municipalities of La Paz and El Alto are now connected by the highest and largest cable car system in the world, while the modern fleet of PumaKatari buses helps improve mobility in the city of La Paz. This case illustrates how La Paz has changed its public transport system using innovative solutions.
