Transporte y Desarrollo en América Latina

Latin America has challenges to face in the transport sector, particularly in the economic, social and environmental aspects. Traffic accidents, pollution problems generated by motor cars and motorbikes and the difficulties of financing public transport systems, are some of these challenges. This first issue of the journal Transport and Development in Latin America seeks to delve deeper into these phenomena, investigate possible solutions and present analyses that demonstrate which factors contribute to tackle the transport problem. In addition, the magazine offers solutions to substantially reduce the externalities of the sector and also promotes improvements in the region in terms of productivity, society and the environment.
