What Is Modal Share? How Is It Measured? #MobilityIndicators

Modal share is more than a statistic. It reveals how people move through cities, guides where infrastructure investment goes, and exposes who gets left behind. But here’s the catch: aggregate data masks inequalities. The numbers look very different depending on gender, age, income, and ability. 

Good mobility policy starts with asking better questions. Who is travelling? By what mode? Under what conditions? With what alternatives?
