TUMI E-Bus Mission Knowledge Hub!
The TUMI E-Bus Mission has launched its online Knowledge Hub, featuring a wide variety of resources. From publications to webinars, tools and videos, the TUMI E-Bus Mission website allows a variety of stakeholders from transport agencies, bus companies to NGOs to search through e-bus related resources in an easy and dynamic way. Resources were shared by the TUMI E-bus Mission coalition and partners from around the Globe in different languages and formats.

Join TUMI at the Week for Sustainable Mobility and Climate
Tuesday, 04 Oct – Friday, 07 Oct | Location: Dakar, Senegal
The Week for Sustainable Mobility and Climate will be held in Dakar, Senegal from the 4-7th of October and will bring together the community of African mobility and climate actors before the COP 27 which will take place one month later in Egypt. Many workshops and plenary sessions will be held to foster dialogue between different actors on the challenges of sustainable mobility and to strengthen climate action at the local level in Africa. A major output of the week will be the ‘Dakar Declaration,’ a high- level contribution on sustainable urban mobility to the COP 27.
TUMI will take part in several events during the week – including hosting a full day City-to-City Dialog for the TUMI E-Bus Mission, taking part in the Mobilize Your City Community of Practice and participating in panel sessions alongside WRI and AFD on Electrification and Paratransit. SuM4All is Bringing Transport to COP27: Consortium Meeting

- climate-friendly and just mobility industries and businesses

TUMI E-Mobility & E-Bus Mission
The city of Curitiba started to test electric buses as another step towards the implementation of 150 electric buses by 2024. Curitiba also cooperates with KfW, which currently assists in preparatory studies for the restructuring of Line Inter 2 and the BRT East-West corridor (which are priorities for electrification) with the objective to finance the projects.

LATAM and the Caribbean: Regional Training on Charging Infrastructure and E-Buses
Starting September 26th, the SOLUTIONSplus team and the GEF-7 Regional Platform in collaboration with TUMI will release the second section of the Regional Training Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean. In these two new modules of “Key aspects towards the advancement of e-mobility in the region”, focus will be made on charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, planning and operation of e-buses and business models for the transition towards e-mobility in the region.

Women Mobilize Women in collaboration with Mobycon and C40 Cities hosted a webinar on Gender Equity and the 15 Minute City. Special guests Sílvia Casorrán, Deputy Chief Architect for Barcelona City Council and Alice Kauma, Senior Manager for Land Use Planning at C40 Cites, had an insightful discussion with WMW Ambassador Melissa Bruntlett.

Lviv: European Mobility Week
Regardless the ongoing war in the Ukraine, the City of Lviv decided to organize activities for promoting sustainable urban mobility. There were in different sphere: Presentations of bicycle concepts, bike tours to renovated streets in Lviv, by bike to work – get to work by bike on this day…
- Historical and urban excursions in the historical town for pedestrians.
- A trolleybus tour, that the citizens won`t find on maps
- A Workshop “With tactical urbanism approach will the space near St. Antoniy Church function better”
Cuenca: E-Mobility Plan loading…
Important activities are happening in the city of Cuenca with the city team in charge of developing the plan. A series of workshops were organized with the aim to define and prioritize measures which will be included in the e-mobility plan. Likewise, building capacities activities for buses and taxis operators were developed as an introductory step on TCO analysis.
Cuenca: Fast charging infrastructure
The city committed towards e-mobility adaptation has inaugurated its first two fast charging stations provided by the city electricity provider CentroSur S.A. These are the first stations in service as part of a plan to implement a network of fast charging in the city of Cuenca.

Global Clean Energy Action Forum: Accelerating ZEV Transitions: California-India Collaboration

This September in Pittsburgh, WRI participated in the first-ever Global Clean Energy Action Forum, a joint convening of the 13th Clean Energy Ministerial and the 7th Mission Innovation ministerial. Pawan Mulukutla, the Clean Mobility Program Director for WRI India, discussed India’s similarities and differences to California in stimulating commercial zero- emission vehicle adoption with Californian and Indian policy leaders.
