Traffic Committee Meeting: Approval of MoVe Yaoundé Project reports Milestone reached for Urban Mobility in Yaoundé

The MoVe Yaoundé project has reached a decisive milestone. On 10 February, the Traffic Committee met at the headquarters of the Yaoundé Urban Community to approve the technical reports aimed at bringing about lasting improvements to urban transport in Cameroon’s capital.

This session marks an important step towards the implementation of concrete actions for smoother, safer and better organised mobility.

Key points of the session

  • Overall vision: Presentation of the integrated urban mobility concept to support the city’s growth.
  • Modernisation: Identification of strategies for the professionalisation and improvement of the taxi transport sector.
  • Official validation: Signing of the minutes confirming the approval of the technical reports and the alignment of the partners.

Chaired by Ms Mbang (Director at CUY) and attended by Mr Kilu (Project Manager), discussions with the focal points of the partner institutions helped to consolidate the foundations for a more modern and efficient urban transport system.

The MoVe Yaoundé project thus continues its momentum: transforming analyses into concrete solutions for users.
